早前，JDC Lab 創辦人 Patrick Yuen 獲 PolyU DBA Alumni Association 的邀請，與他們一眾成員，踏進立法會綜合大樓，親身體驗香港立法機關的日常運作。這不只是一場導賞，更是一次近距離感受「議會如何回應社會」的深度之旅，切實體會政策推動與社會脈搏的緊密連結。
Invited by the PolyU DBA Alumni Association, Patrick Yuen, Founder of JDC Lab, joined fellow members on a distinguished visit to the Legislative Council Complex, gaining valuable insight into the operations of Hong Kong’s legislative institution.
More than a ceremonial visit, the experience provided a meaningful opportunity to examine how legislative processes translate public aspirations into policy action. Through a close-up view of the Council’s work, participants were able to better appreciate the critical nexus between governance, policymaking, and societal development, reaffirming the essential role of responsive leadership in shaping Hong Kong’s future.
導賞團的行程緊湊而豐富。在專業導賞員的帶領下，一行人參觀了立法會大樓內的多個核心區域，從具標誌性的會議廳、記者專用的採訪區，到具教育意義的設施，每一站都讓人眼界大開，從中了解議會如何進行法案審議、政策討論及決策流程。
The tour itinerary was compact and rich in content. Led by professional guides, the group visited multiple core areas within the Legislative Council Building, from the iconic Chamber and the press gallery designated for journalists, to educational facilities. Every stop broadened their horizons, providing insights into how the Council conducts bill scrutiny, policy discussions, and decision-making processes.
再次步入立法會會議廳，Patrick 體會到這個議事空間所展現的莊重與秩序。他指出，會議廳內嚴謹的氛圍讓現場體驗格外專注，即使作為到訪者觀摩，每一次身臨其境都帶來豐富的思考與啟迪。
Re-entering the Legislative Council Chamber, Patrick reflected on the sense of order and formality that defines the venue. He observed that the serious atmosphere fosters sharp focus throughout the hall, making every visit a thought-provoking experience that provides inspiring new viewpoints.
Patrick 在活動中榮幸地遇上了幾位重量級嘉賓，包括立法會主席 李慧琼, GBS, JP、立法會議員江旻憓, SBS, MH以及是次悉心安排參觀活動的吳錦華議員, JP。期間，他們不僅分享了對青年發展的看法，更談及社會事務，以及香港未來方向的精闢見解。能夠與他們面對面交流，Patrick 坦言，是一次極其珍貴的學習機會。
At the event, Patrick had the honour of meeting several distinguished guests, including President of the Legislative Council, Ms. Starry Lee, GBS, JP, Council Member Ms Vivian Kong, SBS, MH, and Council Member Mr. Ng Kam-wah, JP, who had thoughtfully arranged the visit. During their conversations, they shared not only their views on youth development but also incisive insights on social affairs and the future direction of Hong Kong. Patrick openly acknowledged that the face-to-face exchanges with them were an exceptionally precious learning opportunity.
參觀完畢後，Patrick特別感謝吳錦華議員, JP 的悉心安排，令活動得以順利舉行，並期望日後能有更多類似機會，讓更多年輕人親身走進立法會，認識這座承載香港法治與民主進程的重要機關。
After the visit, Patrick expressed his special gratitude to Council Member Mr. Ng Kam-wah, JP, for his meticulous arrangements, which ensured the smooth running of the event, and expressed his hope that more similar opportunities would arise in the future, allowing more young people to personally step into the Legislative Council and get to know this important institution that underpins Hong Kong’s rule of law and democratic processes.
